HEPA dust extractor rental
A construction vacuum with HEPA filtration, built to capture fine dust at the tool before it reaches the air.

What it is
A HEPA dust extractor pulls dust through a hose connected to a grinder, saw or sander, and filters it through a HEPA filter. A true HEPA filter is rated to capture 99.97% of particles at 0.3 micrometres. Fine dust is the reason these machines exist: it hangs in the air, spreads through a building and is harmful to breathe.

Who rents it
- Drywall finishing and sanding
- Concrete grinding, coring and cutting

Good to know
- Some dust from cutting and grinding masonry and concrete can contain crystalline silica. Rules for controlling it differ by province, so check with your site safety officer or provincial authority.
- Do not use a HEPA unit for wet pickup unless it is made for it. Use a wet/dry vacuum for liquids.
- A cyclone pre-separator in front of the extractor protects the filter on heavy dust jobs. Ask us about it when you request a quote.
HEPA dust extractor questions
What is the difference between HEPA and a shop vac?
A shop vac moves air and debris, but its filter lets fine dust through. A HEPA extractor filters fine dust. See HEPA vs shop vac.
Will it connect to my grinder or saw?
Most dust-collection tools use a standard hose connection. Tell us the tool in your quote request and we will match it. See dust control on job sites.
Do I need a HEPA vacuum for concrete work?
Often yes, for grinding and cutting. Requirements depend on the work and the province. Check with your safety officer. See concrete grinding and cutting.
